Whitney is a licensed K-12 music teacher and counselor-in-training who’s lived in the Kalamazoo area for the past 15 years. She is a proud graduate of Western Michigan university and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education (Secondary/Choral) and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Counseling Education/Counseling Psychology. Whitney served as the choir director at Reeths-Puffer High School, Edwardsburg Public Schools, and Portage Northern High School, where she conducted several ensembles and was vocal director for the school musicals. Currently, she’s a teaching artist with Education for the Arts, and works with the advanced musical theater class. Whitney also works as a professional singer and actor in Southwest Michigan, and has appeared on the Farmers Alley Theater’s stage in numerous productions and cabarets.
