The purpose of the Kalamazoo Children’s Chorus is to offer an opportunity for children to explore and develop an appreciation of choral music in all of its forms and styles.
During weekly rehearsals the members learn proper vocal and choral techniques and an understanding of musical styles through singing a wide variety of music from Bach to Broadway. Kalamazoo Children’s Chorus (KCC) is a nonprofit community arts organization that was founded in 1981.
The chorus is open by audition to children from third grade through high school. It is comprised of five choirs that correspond to the children’s vocal development: the Preparatory, Treble, Concert, Bel Canto, and Touring Choirs.
