Voice Hearing Placements for the 2023-2024 Season of the Kalamazoo Children’s Chorus
are now being accepted!
Join us for our 44th season making music and raising young artists in Kalamazoo! KCC is open to all students entering 3rd-12th grade with different ensemble options for age/ability level. Experience the exploration and perfection of choral singing, performing challenging repertoire and making friends who love to sing! We would love to sing with you and see if you might be the newest member of the KCC family!

- You are welcome to sing alone or with a friend.
- Plan to sing a song of your choice (please bring sheet music) or something as simple as the “Happy Birthday” song. We will also do some vocal exercises to get to know your voice.
- Download a copy of our audition form and email back to taylor@kalamazoochildrenschorus.org or bring with you to the audition
Pre-Recorded Submissions Instruction: Please complete the audition form and record a video of yourself singing a song of your choice (can be done a cappella or with accompaniment). Include your name and grade in the fall of 2023.
Email all submissions and questions to Taylor Gudbrandson at taylor@kalamazoochildrenschorus.org. We recommend uploading the video to Google Drive or Dropbox and sending a link via email to accommodate large file sizes.
Concert Cycle Deadlines: Submit your voice placement before the following dates to join us for the concert cycle
Fall Cabaret Join Deadline: August 28th, 2023
Holiday Concert Join Deadline: October 9th, 2023
Spring Concert Join Deadline: Jan. 8th, 2024
KCC rehearses weekly on Tuesday nights from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Portage Chapel Hill Methodist Church off of Oakland Drive.
