2023-204 Choristers

2023: An Alumni Newsletter

Hello from the Kalamazoo Children’s Chorus!

It has been a busy start to the season for the singers at KCC- and we would love to share with you our exciting updates and upcoming performances! Over the summer, 26 of our touring members traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in the “We Have A Dream” Choral Festival. This exciting opportunity allowed KCC to interact with a multi-generational chorus composed of singers from around the US, immerse ourselves in historic sites, and celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with performances at the MLK memorial and John F. Kennedy Center. For those of you who have traveled with KCC in the past- you know how many memories are made during these tours and how many bonds are formed within the choir! We returned to Kalamazoo, exhausted and with full hearts ready to take on a new season from the lessons we learned.

The 23/24 season is already in full swing! KCC Choristers are preparing our “Magic In The Air” performance that will take place on Sat. Oct. 7th. This concert will feature soloists as well as our two ensembles singing the magical music of Disney. We would love to see you there! Tickets and information are available at kalamazoochildrenschorus.ludus.com. Following our performance, we have been invited to sing with the Kalamazoo Concert Band at Chenery Auditorium on Oct. 21st at 7:30pm. This will be another performance that you won’t want to miss!

If you would like to support the Kalamazoo Children’s Chorus, there are opportunities to donate on our website via PayPal or you might be interested in helping the Chorus by purchasing an Evergreen from our annual fundraiser. These fresh cut decorations are fragrant, beautiful and ship across the country (except HI and AL). Check our the Evergreens here: https://sherwoodfundraiser.com/KCC

We also invite you to peruse our new website (kalamazoochildrenschorus.org) You can take a peek at our performance schedule for the rest of the season and see what we’re up to!

Thank you for being a supporter of the Kalamazoo Children’s Chorus- we couldn’t do what we do without your help!

We hope to see you soon!
