The Treble Choir continues the work begun in the Preparatory Choir. Additional work on two part singing, score study, musical terminology and general musicianship is stressed. This choir also performs at the Holiday Concert and the Spring Concert. At the end of the season the choristers can chose to remain in this choir or audition to move to the next level choir.
Darlene is currently teaching middle school music in the Portage Public Schools. She has extensive vocal and choral training having received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University. Her Masters degree was earned at Western Michigan University. She is the director of Bell Choirs at Milwood United Methodist Church.
She has co-directed a summer fine arts camp for 7 years at Van Buren Youth Camp. Her elementary school choirs have performed extensively in the community and at the Capitol in Lansing. Mrs. Sang has produced and directed numerous musicals and co-authored the holiday musical "Santa's Achin' Back." She resides in Paw Paw with her husband and her garden.
